or training company
- Multiple use and reuse of information for distribution purposes

- Compatible with standard Netscape and Explorer browsers
Architecture
Track TEKS is component based and uses JAVA servlets and applets
instead of CGI programming to communicate with an SQL database.
JAVA was selected to provide platform independence and thread safe
information. Servlets provide higher speed due to their semi-compiled
state and do not create a new process for each user access as CGI
does. Servlets also interface with JDBC and databases with ease.
As a result, overhead is reduced on the server. This makes Track
TEKS a faster and more scalable product.
The architecture is similar to that of newer generation e-commerce
web sites. It provides reliability and robustness as well as quick
component customization.
