Track TEKS Learning Management and Learning Content Management Systems

Track TEKS is a state-of-the-art, Web-based training and learning content management systems. Developed by ATLC, the system delivers courseware through the Internet for "anytime-anywhere" delivery to the trainee or student.

Built upon more than eight years of experience in IT-based learning and training in Europe and North America, the Track TEKS system has a very flexible architecture to meet the varied demands of corporate customers. It is easy to customize and maintain, and can be easily integrated with existing corporate legacy systems, databases and interfaces.

Features of the Track TEKS Systems

  • Dynamic Course Flow, Evaluations, and Authoring for efficient course construction and presentation
  • Constructed with component architecture which provides for easy customization to meet specific requirements
  • User profiling and evaluation for trainees to enhance learning for individual students

Key Benefits

  • Efficient information production
  • Ensuring availability of information anytime, anywhere in the world
  • Consistency of information provided to employees
  • Promotes sharing of global expertise within a corporation, organization, or training company
  • Multiple use and reuse of information for distribution purposes
  • Intellectual property and courseware are not lost due to retirement or turnover
  • Compatible with standard Netscape and Explorer browsers

Architecture

Track TEKS is component based and uses JAVA servlets and applets instead of CGI programming to communicate with an SQL database. JAVA was selected to provide platform independence and thread safe information. Servlets provide higher speed due to their semi-compiled state and do not create a new process for each user access as CGI does. Servlets also interface with JDBC and databases with ease. As a result, overhead is reduced on the server. This makes Track TEKS a faster and more scalable product.

The architecture is similar to that of newer generation e-commerce web sites. It provides reliability and robustness as well as quick component customization.
